Zapparel

Hot off the digital press is a motion design piece for a new augmented reality T-Shirt App. The Zapparel app makes “clothing come to life” when you scan on a smartphone! Our brief was to create an explosion of possibilities that emanate from the phone, opening up another dimension where everyday things come to life. Users running Zappar can play games, view video, listen to music or get social. I am Sound provided the sound design for the video.

Museum of Liverpool

The Museum of Liverpool is now open and our multi-screen video exhibit is on display at the entrance to the Wondrous Place exhibition. The audio visual piece takes the viewer through a journey of the famous sons and daughters of Liverpool’s vibrant entertainment scene. In the end this job proved to be quite a challenge – editing across 4 HD screens simultaneously, with a total canvas width of 7000 pixels!

ISLI Visual Identity

YUVA have recently been working with the Institute of System Level Integration (ISLI) re-designing their corporate and academic brand identity. Our design is based on the Loxodrome shape;  a spiral curve on the surface of a sphere, which crosses all meridians of longitude at the same angle. We were also tasked with creating complementary imagery that could be used over print and online campaigns. For this we were inspired by ‘rainbow’ coloured computer cables from the early 80s, giving the brand and site a retro but technical feel.

Veemee iDent

YUVA recently completed a new motion identity for Edinburgh based digital studio, Veemee. Our treatment turns their logo into an evolving ’8Bit’ 3D pixel animation. The sound design was produced by i am sound.

Caledonian 123

We finally finished the 3D animation work for the new Caley 123 exhibit at the Glasgow Riverside Museum. The video tells the story of how workers on the Clydeside built the engine in a record 66 days. When in service, no 123 worked on the Carlisle to Edinburgh section of the West Coast route. The West Coast and East Coast trains were in constant competition to reduce travelling times from London to Scotland, and this became known as the “Great Race North”. You can check out the exhibit along with the brilliant new museum from the 21st June.
